About Pipedreams

Having left college qualified in food technology and bakery crafts, Sally developed a flair for cake decorating. This started as a hobby but an increasing demand resulted in the establishment of Pipedreams Cake Design in 1989.

The modest beginnings consisted of a small showroom and kitchen, but to cope with a growing number of orders, additional expertise and experience was required and larger premises!

The Pipedreams Team consists of:

Di & Sarah look after the front of house. They will help you through our range of cakes, with suggestions on stands and decorations, calling on the Design Team for technical and artistic backup when needed.
The team leader is Margaret who heads up the showroom, she has been decorating cakes since she was a wee nipper, and has tonnes of experience under her belt to help you through your design choice. Her creative mind is always open to new ideas and if you have any suggestions of your own to enhance your design, she’s the lady to ask!
After taking a course in chocolate work, Sue realised she had found her niche and she is now in charge of the chocolate creations you see in our dedicated chocolate room.
Finally there is Sally who is the owner and is responsible for baking our delicious cakes, helping about the place and delivering your finished bridal cake!
